Tree Trail at Mount Leinster

Several classes recently went to see the Seven Noble Trees at Blackstairs Ecotrails, near Mount Leinster.  They saw a short film explaining who the Celts were and why they reverenced our Celtic Trees  and discovered the 7 Noble or Chieftain trees. They then visited a replica Ogham Stone in a young oak wood that demonstrates this ancient type of writing and how it was so closely related to the native trees of Ireland 2500 years ago.
